WWF Rainforest Webinar

We joined hundreds of school to learn all about the rainforest. 

Today we were involved in a WWF webinar where we learnt all about the rainforests. Some things we learnt were:

  • Orangutans can build a new nest every night - Oliver
  • By the time you say 'deforestation', an area of trees the size of a football pitch is destroyed - Zak
  • Over 400 different species of frogs in the rainforest - Astrid
  • Poison dart frogs get their name from the toxins they put in the dart they shoot at other animals - Riley
  • Orangutan means 'The people of the forest' - Rose

We learnt about what we can do to help with things we do every day! These include:

  • Turn off the lights! - Ethan
  • Buy food which is organic - Harley
  • Reduce our paper use - Lorenzo
  • Turn off the tap when you are finished - Noah
