Historic Dockyard Trip
We had a great time on an adventure at the Historic Dockyard
The children really enjoyed exploring at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. They got to look at the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and explore the galleries. The children were able to get hands-on with their learning and even got to dress up as some different characters from the periods we were looking at. Here are some comments from children about what they learnt:
-'The surgeons used a device to suck puss out of boils' - Rebecca
- 'There was a skeleton of an archer and a skeleton of a dog called Hatch' - Milly
- 'Only 35 people out of 500 survived' - Thane
- 'The Mary Rose was underwater for 437 years' - Zak
