Children's Mental Health Week
Activities for Mental Health Week.
As this week has been Children's Mental Health Week, we have completed a range of activities to help us keep our minds healthy.
We have a new friend in our class called Monty the Manatee. We learnt all about him through a book which took us on his journey through his first day at sea school. From this we learnt about what it means to be kind and look out for others. We then talked about how we might feel if this happened to us and what we could do to change this.
One of our PE focuses is being healthy and a healthy mind is a big part of that. In PE, we practised different breathing exercises to help us when we are feeling angry or stressed to calm us down. We then learnt some yoga moves to help stretch our muscles.
