A Jiving week in Adamson Class

We have had another busy week in Adamson class. Our place value learning has taken us to the concept of rounding to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000, as well as considering numbers that are greater or less than using the appropriate symbols (or crocodiles as we like to call them!) of < , > and =.
Within English, we have been learning to extend or 'stretch' our sentences, adding adjectives and similes to give more detail and imagery for the reader. Our walk to the school field on Friday really helped us understand how to describe a setting using all of our senses.
We finished our week with some dance - using Oti Mabuse and Kelvin Fletcher as our role models on Strictly Come Dancing, we attempted a Jive... Let's just say we all certainly had a good giggle! I look forward to seeing some amazing routines in our lesson next week, along to the soundtrack of Jailhouse Rock!
Finally, we hope you all enjoy the long weekend and are able to observe the Queen's Funeral in some way. See you Tuesday! :)
